Юрий Шевчук
Лидер уфимской группы «ДДТ».
Родился 16 мая 1957 года в посёлке Ягодное Магаданской области. В 13 лет вместе семьёй переехал в Уфу, где спустя годы создал группу «ДДТ» в1980 году.

На втором курсе университета Шевчук примкнул к группе Нияза Абдюшева «Перекрёсток».
После победы в конкурсе вокально- инструментальных ансамблей они заняли второе место. Тогда Шевчук ушёл из группы «Перекрёсток» и начал создавать свою.
Его пригласили играть в группу уфимского дворца культуры «Авангард».
В апреле 1982 года Юрий Шевчук вернулся в Уфу и устроился на работу в ДК «Нефтяник». Именно тогда уфимский состав «ДДТ» дал свой первый и единственный электрический концерт в родном городе.
